Love Love Love

As with most things, Western culture has corrupted the concept of love. It is more than feeling or sentiment. It outlasts temporal romantic love.  In its purest form, love is a powerful energetic force. That’s what emotion is – a motivating force. It  is energy that moves and pushes and has the ability to neutralize and negate. Millenia ago, our ancestors realized that according to cosmic law “everything is dual; everything has poles; everything has its pair of opposites…opposites are identical in nature, but different in degree.” Following this logic, it becomes clear that love and hate are simply degrees of the same thing – polar opposite emotions. To annihilate hate, one simply has to concentrate on its positive polar opposite, love. For those who took the call to love one another as an invitation to turn the other cheek, they totally missed the point. Love is the warrior’s most potent weapon. We are masters of alchemy; we have ability to liberate ourselves.
