Keep Pushing

With her feet planted firmly on the ground, Imani trudged through the fog that suddenly clouded her path. Things were so clear when she began. She tried to shake it off but she was bothered by the fact that her conditions changed so dramatically. She’d been warned to be on guard for peaks and valleys, but she never expected to be traveling blind. The fog thickened  the closer she got to her final destination. It was as if something or someone didn’t want her to arrive safely or arrive at all. She gathered herself and took stock of her resources, reciting quietly to herself, “I have everything I need. My feet know the way. I’m protected as I travel on this path. No harm will come to me.”  Her eyes being of no use, she used her most valuable resource, her instincts. She’d have to rely on her intuition if she was going to successfully make it through.
