Reese stood by the door listening to the echoing of his footsteps as he walked away. Her hand tightened around the door knob as she considered her options. She could stay put and forget that she ever thought about leaving. Everything she wanted was right in front of her. A quick glimpse around the room reminded her of the comforts she’d come to know.
