Lesson Learned

Dear John,

Thank you for reminding me that HERE is not a place to get comfortable. I got so caught up in the conversation and company that I almost forgot that I WAS on my way SOMEWHERE when I ran into you. It’s no excuse, but I was tired from the long journey. When you work as hard as I do, and for as long as I have, it just felt good to sit still for a moment. However, in retrospect, this probably wasn’t a good place to rest anyway because I just couldn’t seem to get comfortable..

So if you’ll excuse me, I’ll be on my way now. Put this whole thing and me out of your mind. I’ve already forgotten about it and you too. So, don’t wait up because I won’t text when I get THERE. And if you think about me later, please don’t check on me because I can assure you that I'll be okay.

No hard feelings though. I take full responsibility for this lapse in judgement. It’s totally my BAD. Trust me, it won’t happen again.

Regrettably,

Jane
