Money and Honey

All good reason left her head as she slid down from her bar stool and landed awkwardly against his chest. He was tipsy too. He laughed as he reached to steady her. “Yeah, it’s time to call it a night, “ he said “You think?” she shot back. He rose to his feet and stood unprofessionally close to her. “What’s your room number?” Tara giggled at the question and straightened to look him in the eye. “Now, that’s proprietary information. If I tell you, I’ll have to kill you,” Tara flirted back. “Kill me then,” he said in all seriousness, “I want to make sure you get back to your room safely.” Tara smiled and started to walk off. She stopped and turned to find him staring at her. “So you coming or what?” she asked. “Following your lead,” he replied. She slowly turned around and walked out of the bar and headed towards the elevator with Trent trailing close behind. Once there, he stood behind her, reaching around her to call for the elevator. “You smell great,” he whispered in her ear. The doors opened before she could respond. They walked in and found themselves alone. “What floor?” he asked. “Should we do this? We have to work together,” she quizzed. “Oh yeah, we’re about to go to work,” he taunted. For once in her life, Tara threw caution to the wind and said, “Push 7.”
