Natural Born Killers

We act as if murder is a minor inconvenience. As if a drink has been spilled and not a life taken. Where is the outrage?  Are we not appalled and disgusted at the inhumanity? We are terrifyingly silent. This should not be accepted as the norm. We have been born into the middle of an ongoing war and adapted to the uninterrupted violence against us as if it is normal. But make no mistake, we are at war and we are at a disadvantage because we have surrendered while the guns are still locked, loaded and pointed in our direction. There is no level of education, position of authority, or accomplishment attained within the system that will afford you protection from the danger of it. There can be no peace when the enemy perceives your very life as a threat to theirs.
