Copper, bronze or was it brass manillas for bodies worth more than their weight in gold. Guns and trinkets for unfathomable betrayal.

Years of training in the temple imprinted strict methods to help stay focused. The incense. The bells. The oils. The candles. They serve multiple purposes but mostly they are triggers to help us remember.

I mean I don’t just have a soul; I am a soul. A soul having a human experience. An experience designed to test, challenge and develop my soul.

Whether you gradually gained consciousness or woke up with a sense of urgency, it matters not, you are awake now. It's time; you have work to do.

Thank God Almighty for wise counsel. Crucial to my growth and development has been the presence of learned elders, teachers, counselors, and spiritual practitioners.

This is spiritual warfare and part of the war is battling the lies that we have be told about ourselves, our culture, and our spirituality.
