Civilization or Barbarism?
The question is not democrat or republican, it’s civilization or barbarism. To discuss governance without collectively defining acceptable of standards of living and establishing codes of conduct among peoples is to allow those who assume leadership to do so on their own terms. This has been our plight for the last two thousand years. We have been subjected to the will of a few who are indifferent at best, and outright hostile at worst, to human lives and possibility. The propensity of this ruling class to use violence to assert themselves has been most destructive. The tendency of the masses to adjust to that violence has been to our detriment. We have lost our vision of a world where global peace, harmony and collaboration can exist and forgotten that our African ancestors created it before. We are at the precipice of a new age and will enter a new stage of human evolution. We cannot afford to be led. What have we learned from our enslavement and oppression that will help us in our quest for perfection? Our suffering cannot be without purpose.
