I Not Us

I wrestled with the meaning of “US” because I believe the writer has an explicit warning. It is befittingly categorized as a horror movie for we are now stars in our own collective nightmare. But it is not because of “us” that we are trapped.  It is “I”, the individual self who remains locked in battle between the spirit and the flesh that threatens to doom us all. It is this struggle for dominion and rulership that awaits every our waking moment, offering yet another opportunity for self-victory or defeat. Our own individual soul work is the escape, following the traditional path forward. Prayer and meditation are the sustenance required for this journey. The Ancestors are our able guides.
