Patterns and Triggers
An important step in healing past trauma involves studying patterns. Patterns and triggers. Both often go unnoticed because they gradually develop over time. The subtlety and nuance of personality in the formation of belief and perception underly the nature of the pattern and the character of the trigger. The same experience may impact three different people in three different ways. However, the patterns formed in reaction to the experience and the triggers that provoke negative reactions can be broken by repetition of a more desired albeit intentional response. Practice and discipline.
