In the Beginning

When I think of home

My soul remembers the warmth of two suns

Whose rays tanned my face

As I ran along the equator with bare feet

Splashing holy river water on my sister

As we danced and laughed in our space of peace and plenty

We were conquerors back then

Guided by two bold and balanced stars

That beamed down light to bless the earth

With pure power, we subdued the land

Became like the Creator

Gave birth to nations

Art

Culture

Mathematics

Science

We held knowledge of the ages

We were center of the cosmos

Oh how we bathed in the light our two suns

Until winter came and brought the destroyer
